Time for a boot upgrade, need some help

Lowa GTX mid I've bought over a dozen pairs in the last 20 years. I backpack off trail about 100 miles per year. There's an ice/snow/winter version, too. I never have a break in period with these, total comfort right out the box.

    215 alternative ?

My knowledge is limited but would this be the same bullet as Berger 215gr 300 Norma mag uses? That’s what I use and it’s an incredible bullet. I’ve never quite understood the difference between 308 and all the different 300s in terms of the bullet. Those are the only two long gun cartridges I...

Help, I can't see the pattern

Thanks, that's a great idea about the baggies, that's what someone said on another forum I'm on. I forgot that's how I solved the tangled box of wires and cables problem, with baggies. As far as donations, I can't imagine a charity in San Francisco that wouldn't call the police if you gave...

Help, I can't see the pattern

Anyone know someone who is extremely organized with all this firearms tackle? How can all this stuff get organized? I've got hardware, spacers, doodads, all kinds of stuff that's too good to toss out but how do you organize all this stuff? I must have 30 objects related to just two shotgun...

    Food plots

For those of you who grow food be sure to understand that 99.99% of the population doesn’t understand how to grow food so when the food supply collapses it’s your farms that millions of starving people will be attacking. Farming was able to emerge 9000 years ago only after the year long (high...

Time for a boot upgrade, need some help

Lowa Renegade GTX mid is a great boot. I've had a dozen pairs and hike with a heavy pack year round. No break in period. Lasts pretty long and under 200. They make a great winter version called the ice something that's a little taller around the ankle and insulated. Beautiful boot. Light...

.223 Remington semiauto rifles that don't look like ARs

I think you’re right. I’m going to have a chat with my friend and tell him we shouldn’t restrict our choice based on the appearance of the rifle.

We've been plinking with PC carbine 9mm's with red dots and want to expand the range from 200 yards to 600 yards while using red dots or holosights with multidot reticles. .223 seems like a good round for that.

I voted for Trump twice. 10% of San Francisco voted for Trump. Blue areas have lots of conservatives. Most people can't even define what conservative means, even conservative pundits don't know what it means. Its the demand for order and the recognition that force is a requirement of orderly...

.223 Remington semiauto rifles that don't look like ARs

Interesting. We've been shooting bolt rifles up til now but it takes minutes to compose each shot out to a mile and beyond using .300 Norma mag, my 90% first hit confidence range goes out to 1500 yards, but then we bought these Ruger PC carbines 9mm and those were fun for fast plinking out to...
