    Recommend an AR15?

Thanks. Anyone know a 9/16"x24 titanium brake as light as possible?

    Recommend an AR15?

Thanks! I chose the stock because it's very lightweight. Just the buffer tube alone normally weighs about 3.8 ounces. My entire stock weighs 3.8 ounces. An A2 stock might be 1.5 lbs for reference. The weight difference is huge!

    Recommend an AR15?

Alright! Finally done with the interviewing (got two tentative offers!) and got the rifle built! It's a couple ounces heavier than I thought (the new Magpul MOE K grip is an ounce heavier than the old one, apparently). It's just a hair under 5 lbs without a magazine, scope, or scope mount. I...

    Recommend an AR15?

Nice! I got the last of the parts in the mail about a week ago. I haven't assembled it yet. I do still need a bench vice to do the job. I'm currently studying algorithms like mad but maybe I'll give myself a break and build it up soon. If not soon then at least I will have more time end of this...

    Recommend an AR15?

I actually ordered all the parts. The build should be a little more or less 5 pounds before optics. I'll post up more details once all the parts show up and I assemble it. Might take a month or two. Ping me if I forget and you're curious.

Sub 6 pound 1000 yard rifle?

Thank you I do understand that. Unless I misunderstand the zero stop does only allow 13 approx MOA in a single turn. It should give the full turn unless the approx 55 MOA total adjustment is used up based on your rifle/mount combo. I don't know if that ever occurs in the real world but in theory...

Sub 6 pound 1000 yard rifle?

The scope is in the mail but I'm receiving the BT version which I understand has a removable zero stop. With the zero stop installed as it is from the factory it has approx 13 MOA in one turn elevation available assuming the scope doesn't hit the max elevation adjustment before one full...

Sub 6 pound 1000 yard rifle?

Interesting. My thought process was to cut weight everywhere as much as possible except the trigger and barrel. I wouldn't be able to get a really nice thick barrel on a rifle like this but I would basically add up all the weights, add the trigger I want, and then give the barrel as much as I...

    Canted rings like Talley lightweights?

Ok thanks I might pursue it further. Alternatively I found out I can remove my zero stop. I'm not sure if the canted rings are even a good idea without removing the zero stop. The scope is limited to 13 MOA in one rotation only due to the zero stop. So if I zero at 200 yards the canted rings...

Sub 6 pound 1000 yard rifle?

Who is Bruce Talley? I'm trying to find canted rings for the Kimber 84L and struggling big time! I tried contacting Talley Manufacturing Inc under the assumption that Bruce Talley did or does work there, but I was told they don't make canted rings (I did inquire about a special order). I would...

    Canted rings like Talley lightweights?

I'm looking for canted rings similar to Talley lightweight rings or something comparable in weight. It's for an lightweight rifle. I think the pair of Talleys is 2.5 ounces, but they aren't canted and don't seem to make them with cant. Mostly what I'm finding is mounts for an AR which go on a...
