You guys need to try IMR-4831 with the 115's. You will find more velocity and accuracy over h4831.

    Real World BC berger .25?

I have 26" 1-10 twist Shilen Select match barrel. I use Lapua 30-06 brass. The elite 4200 has very accurate clicks, ask Jerry Tao, he shoots out to 2 miles. BillR what is your email address I can email you all my load info as I keep very good notes, Retumbo didn't work that great for me. How...

    Real World BC berger .25?

I use a G1 BC of .630 for the 115 VLD in my 25-06 AI shooting them @ 3300-3450. I've tried every which BC and this works best for me. I've done a box test with my scope and verified it's accuracy of clicks (1/8th clicks 4-16 elite 4200). I use a 200 yard 0 and I've shot every range from...

Loose primer pockets after 1st firing?

I have experienced the same thing with recent lots of Winchester 25-06 brass. I think Winchester quality is going to **** with newer brass, way too soft.

    Wildcat Bullets Update

No love for the little .257 bullets :( I think someone could make a killing on some 125-150 gr stuff. 257 wby and 25-06 AI's are shooting 115's @ 3300-3500 fps. Even though I'm getting a really really high BC out of the 115 VLD's it would be great to have more options.

    25-06 factory ammunition in a 25-06 AI ???

You will have no issues at all, my fireforming loads actually shoot great in my 25-06 AI. This is one attractive feature of the A.I's, if you are out of town and somehow lost your reloads. Go buy a box of 25-06 ammo found everywhere and enjoy your day. Keep your brass it will be fireformed when...

    25-06 ackley

The most accurate / consistant powder that gave great velocity was IMR-4831 with WLR primers. The WLR primers fit too loose so I use the CCI BR2's. 56 grains of IMR 4831 always shot 3427 through my chronograph with an es of around 5 fps. Not that this means anything but I shot a 2 shot group at...

    25-06 vs 25-06AI

I'm not claiming to know anything really haha. I just have shot about 300-400 of these 115 VLD's through my gun looking for the perfect load. In the past I did a bad job of recording data so I often forgot what I had tried / tested before. This time I collected the info I could along the way...

    25-06 vs 25-06AI

I agree please use caution with different loads in your rifles. What is safe in my rifle may not be safe in your rifle, please start below max listed loads. I am shooting a savage I built using a 26" 1-10 twist 6 groove shilen. It has taken me a lot of time to find the best load possible using...

    25-06 vs 25-06AI

It appears you cannot attatch files on this forum. If anyone is interested I can email you my spreadsheet I have for all my load info with the 115 VLD's. I have played with all sorts of seating depths also, it seems to prefer a .040" jump. I have had best luck using the 270 brass as you can trim...
