I’ll take it per our PMs.

Forming 6.5 prc from 300 prc

Ha—I knew it was only a matter of time before a creative and resourceful member chimed in! Nothing is impossible. Not all things are reasonable for the average Joe without strong guidance. Perhaps you can walk OP through how you would approach the project.

Forming 6.5 prc from 300 prc

What folks are trying to relay is that despite the three common letters at the end, there is no direct relationship between the two cartridges. Practically speaking, it would be like trying to form .308 cases from 30-06 parent cases. The “30…” at the front doesn’t mean much for ease of forming...

    H1000 vs RL 26

Anywhere between 80-90F you will likely experience pressure/velocity spikes with R26. I do not have that issue with H1000. But yes R26 will get you higher velocity.

How accurate is RCBS Chargemaster 1500?

Consistency how—from hitting targeted charge weights more often (auto setting), or closer correlation vs. comparing weight readings against a known higher-resolution scale?

    Wipe out

Interesting video! I have only used it in the neck area of the chamber, and only for a minute or so. But he makes a great point about what if it gets into a fire cracked area—how do you ensure all the CLR is out of there?

How accurate is RCBS Chargemaster 1500?

What results did you see in terms of fluctuation with and without power conditioner?

How accurate is RCBS Chargemaster 1500?

You are absolutely correct. My brain was thinking of brass dimensions and hence the incorrect decimal placement. I corrected original post. Thanks for the data point/link.

How accurate is RCBS Chargemaster 1500?

Specifically asking about the 1500 (not Lite or other newer morels). For those that also have ultra accurate (0.05 grain or even finer) scales, how accurate do you find the Chargemaster readings? Within 0.1 grains? +/- 0.1 grains? Other? I believe the claim is +/- 0.1 grains, but curious what...

    Wipe out

I will add—other than the 2 lines I mentioned above, the only other thing I will use is CLR (the household stuff). I learned of it through one of @orkan’s blogs, and there is nothing that cuts carbon faster than that stuff. It makes quick work of carbon rings. Just be careful not to get it on...

Not sure I’m buying into the hype

Definitely not for everyone. But I haven’t met a suppressor owner yet that wishes they had bought fewer than they have. (And I also haven’t personally met one yet that has only one. Unless they are waiting for another one that’s ‘in jail’)

    Wipe out

Similar experience—all I keep around now is Wipeout/Patchout and KG line. @Seabeeken did you ditch Wipeout/Patchout products?

    Supressor

Two weeks door to door. The reason I waited so long was I didn’t want to be without it. I survived. Not saying that is their SLA—just my experience.

    Supressor

It depends on your level of trust that the manufacturer will still be around. I sent in a SilencerCo Saker with about 8k rounds through it and they cleaned it for free. Inside looks brand new, and if it weren’t for some telltale marks I knew the body had, I would have sworn they replaced it.

    Supressor

Speaking of recoil impulse, with brakes the impact is more of a sharp “bark”; suppressed changes it to more of a shove—as in extends the recoil out over time. That’s my experience anyway.
