    Cooper 92 6.5-284 gaining accuracy

I had some light corrosion on the top of my bolt which they said they were familiar with and refinished it. I also had very stiff bolt lift after I would dry fire it. I can't remember what they said they did about trying to correct the stiff bolt lift but it is somewhat better. It probably just...

    Cooper 92 6.5-284 gaining accuracy

I sent mine back to Cooper right before Christmas. After a month I called and they told me 6-8 weeks and I got my rifle back right at the 8 week mark.

    Cooper 92 6.5-284 gaining accuracy

I had to send my rifle in also, I haven't even fired it yet. I started getting corrosion on on the top of the bolt and after I would dry fire it the bolt lift was very stiff. When I talked to Cooper and told them about the corrosion they said they were aware of it and had changed the finishing...

Building off of a savage action

In all honesty this was my very first time doing something like this. So I just literally put it together headspaced it then started shooting. I checked to make sure the stock wasn't touching the barrel and that was about the extent of it.

Building off of a savage action

http://www.bellandcarlson.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1086 #2997 Very simple installation. You do need to drill a hole for the rear screw of the trigger guard otherwise it should just bolt right in. I've gotten two of these stocks and I'm very happy with them.

Building off of a savage action

Here is my 20T with my handloads and I'd only been reloading about 3 months at this point. Believe it or not that's 5 shots @ 100y.

Building off of a savage action

I have bought 2 of these rifles chambered in 204R. One I put a stainless select match Shilen barrel chambered in 20 Tactical and Bell and Carlson stock. I love that rifle and it shoots very well. The other I put the same stock on and left everything else as it was. It too shoots well. They...

    Barrel cleaning

I got the kit from Bownells that contains the JB paste and the can of Kroil. I've been told by a gunsmith I trust very much that it's the way to go. So I guess I need to do some shooting and cleaning and see which I prefer. I have a Tipton bore guide and Tipton rods for my cheaper varmint...

    Barrel cleaning

I use Wipe-Out in my varmint rifles (204R & 20T) after shooting all day and I am happy with it. I first tried it in my RRA predator pursuit that I shot a lot of Fiocchi ammo through and I couldn't get it clean. It worked to break up all of the built up fouling. I found out that with using...

Great info here guys! Any load updates with the model 92? I've loaded some rounds for initial sighting in and barrel break in. Greyfox, I've searched through alot of this site and you have the most loading info for "short" barreled 6.5-284. Thanks!
