Who makes glass for Nightforce Atacr and Beast?

I think previously Nightforce scopes Nxs and Br model glass was produced at LOW (Light Optical Works) at Japan from start to finish and assembled in Usa. Meopta, Zeiss, S&B and Swaro are using Schott raw glass material and at least Meopta and Zeiss both do their coatings at their own factories...

Who makes glass for Nightforce Atacr and Beast?

They dont know that stuff here in Europe, thrust me. And i dont believe they will tell you which glass manufacturer they are using for marketing reasons since they buy it from somebody. Zeiss, and few others that actually grinds their own glass from raw material advertize that, since it it only...

Who makes glass for Nightforce Atacr and Beast?

Any info? I believe the glass for Nxs was made in Japan. For the above Atacr and Beast it must be either Japanese or some of the european glass companies, but not sure. Nightforce is using Meopta glass on their spotting scope. Any info appreciated.

    260 rem for whitetails

It must be good caliber for whitetails. With a good bullet very accurate. Here in Europe we like the bullet to go through the deer or moose penetrading the lungs and making one hole to both side of the skin so the the heart pumps the blood out and bloodpressure comes down fast. If the bullet...

    Moose calibre?

Hi, We use all from 6.5x55 SE to 9.3x62 for Scandinavian mooses. All work well if shot placement is right. We harvest around 25-35 mooses every year with our hunting group. 308Win is most popular. I Use both 308Win and 9.3x62. Both work. M

    Thoughts on Meopta ZD

Hi, I also have Meopta ZD 3-12X50 RD and ZD 4-16X44 RD. The class is very good in both. The 50mm is good for lowlight hunting as well. Only thing about the 50mm is that it lacks paralax adjustement. These both are for low recoil platforms in my opinion, since eye relief is marginal on both...

    Meopta vs. Nightforce ??

Its been awhile with this discussion so lets bring it up. I have Meopta ZD 3-10X50 and like it. I am planning to buy longrange scope with more zoom in it snd proper repeatable turrets. Either Meopta ZD 6-24X50 or NSX . NSX is 1000€ expencier. Any difference on the lowlight conditions between the...

    308Win and bullets

Hi, I am new to the forum. First bearhunt coming up this year. I have been using my 308Win for years and I am very familiar with it. Really would not want to by a new bigger gun for this unless its really a safety issue. I am a firm believer of shot displacement. I just bought some 168gr...
