6 years too long to wait for rifle?

Yes, 6 years is too long to wait. However, like so many situations there are always two sides to every story. We have only heard yours and I'm pretty sure that is all we will hear. I was out to his place just last week and I can assure you he is BUSY with builds. I cannot and will not speak for...

Rbros .300 Win Mag LWLR Hunter

I was impressed with the cartridge holder on the side of the stock. Is that something you bought or something you engineered? It's just what I need for my AX. Jim

338 ax bullet choice for elk.. Going crazy

Berger advertises that they make their Elite Hunters so they will work fine without having to monkey with seating depths. My 338AX shoots both the 250gr and the 300gr EXTREMELY well. Granted my rifle is a single shot, but it shoots all the 300's very well. I use RL 33 as my powder and IT likes a...

Light fast vs Heavy slower bullets

Personally, I prefer heavy AND fast.

    Let's get this party started!

Hank, watch out for the scumbag protesters who are only 'videoing' hunts. Not supposed to be interfering in any way. Good luck and better shooting! Jim

New APS Raptor Hunter and THunter rifles

Kirby, thanks for giving some of your valuable time for introducing young folks ,(and some older folks) to the joys of trigger pulling. Who knows if any of those young'uns might adopt a hunting hobby or maybe competitive shooting. A wise investment I suspect.

FYSA, RL 33 at Scheel's in Great Falls, MT ...

Thanks Feenix! I asked for them to get some of that in over a year ago, of course they had never heard of RL33, imagine that! I got tired of checking if any had come in until I read your post. Got a lb. today to supplement what I already had. Doesn't take long to go thru a lb. at over...

    MOA Ranging Formula

Is your scope a first or second focal plane? Is 16 the highest power? If it isn't a first focal plane scope, it must be set to it's highest power for the reticle calibrations to be accurate. Hope this helps.

Correct way to introduce women to rifles ...

Didn't read the article. I did get my daughter one of the Savage Lady Hunters shown at the bottom. Really wonderful gun, attractive, fits her like a custom, and one-hole accurate! Whole heartedly recommend it for a smaller framed woman.

    horsemans mountain rifle

Glad to see you back, Broz. I've missed ya. As for your idea on the mountain rifle, I'd say you are right on the mark. I think of ya every time I go through Townsend. Jim

    questions about 338AX

Without knowing your primary use for this build, it's a bit presumptuous of me to make any suggestions. I am however a very proud owner of a 338AX. Using Lapua brass at reasonable pressures one can easily expect five loadings before needing to cull pieces of brass. Annealing, as mentioned...

    My mounts are back

That golden looks like the ones that WV hybridized for their centennial celebration back in 1963. Which river did it come from? Nice mounts.
