Yes, 6 years is too long to wait. However, like so many situations there are always two sides to every story. We have only heard yours and I'm pretty sure that is all we will hear. I was out to his place just last week and I can assure you he is BUSY with builds.
I cannot and will not speak for...
I was impressed with the cartridge holder on the side of the stock. Is that something you bought or something you engineered? It's just what I need for my AX.

Berger advertises that they make their Elite Hunters so they will work fine without having to monkey with seating depths. My 338AX shoots both the 250gr and the 300gr EXTREMELY well. Granted my rifle is a single shot, but it shoots all the 300's very well. I use RL 33 as my powder and IT likes a...

Didn't read the article. I did get my daughter one of the Savage Lady Hunters shown at the bottom. Really wonderful gun, attractive, fits her like a custom, and one-hole accurate! Whole heartedly recommend it for a smaller framed woman.
Glad to see you back, Broz. I've missed ya. As for your idea on the mountain rifle, I'd say you are right on the mark.
I think of ya every time I go through Townsend.

Without knowing your primary use for this build, it's a bit presumptuous of me to make any suggestions. I am however a very proud owner of a 338AX. Using Lapua brass at reasonable pressures one can easily expect five loadings before needing to cull pieces of brass. Annealing, as mentioned...
