7mm Rem Mag vs 6.5 Prc

Thank you for all the data this is why I was wondering if the 7 mag is worth the extra action length weight and recoil because they seem fairly close at the end of the day and I doubt the animal will tell the difference with good shot placement

7mm Rem Mag vs 6.5 Prc

I kinda figured the recoil is definitely more stout in the 7 mag and on game is there really going to be a massive difference with good shot placement

7mm Rem Mag vs 6.5 Prc

Yeah i have actually owned a couple 270's over the years and do like them lots of factory options there as well i just thought the prc might be the way to go since it is in a short action and is very close to 270 in ballistics but with better higher bc bullets.

7mm Rem Mag vs 6.5 Prc

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these calibers for deer/elk at a max of about 500 yards and wanted to know what people thought about the merits of each caliber and obviously 7mm has alot more factory options and can load a heavier bullet but is the extra recoil worth it at the end of the...

Thoughts on rifle weight and hunting

I appreciate everyone's input and I do relieve it is a very personal question and subjective to how in shape that person is but wanted to get a general consensus on rifle weight to long range capability ratio and it seems for most people the sweet spot is around 8-10lbs loaded with scope. Thank...

Thoughts on rifle weight and hunting

I have recently purchased a few rifles a bergara ridge and a terrain and they both are fairly heavy i know that weight is a benefit to shooting but wanted to see what some peoples cut off is for a rifle being to heavy the ridge i own is about 10lbs with scope and the tereain is almost 12.5lbs...

New Rifle question stiff bolt hard lockup

I just bought a christensen arms Ridgeline in 300 am and when I pulled it out of the box I noticed the bolt lift was very stiff and the lockup seems like it takes more effort than it should for a rifle in this price range is this normal for these rifles?
