Zhomeguy - you are correct the badger cut basically is a cut to the underside of the action to allow the use of mags. I would recommend the HS Precision or Badger (I was going to run the low profile HS Precision mags)

True the lighter you go the more recoil, but your brake will help that... Agree, don't want to go too light with a 300 PRC for the recoil but thinking I could manage for hopefully only needing 1 or 2 shots. I would drill out the stock to lighten it up, but if I want to sell later then i'm afraid...

Agree, I like my subtensions true all the time. But i don't like a super fine reticle at low light conditions when trying to find an animal. I think since i know the nightforce is a great scope - i'm more interested in trying the leupold mark 5. My buddy just got one and i'll see if he likes...
