I have been wanting to build a .338 edge, but I don't know what bottom metal to use. Does it need to be a the bigger bottom metal with .338 lapua mags or do you use a standard M5 bottom metal with mags for like a .300 win mag?

Has anyone used a barrel shorter than 30" for .338 edge?

I just had a .300 win mag built with a DBM (AI mags). I have been trying to work on a load for it using the Berger 210gr VLD, but i was needing some advise on seating depth since i have a DBM.

I just started getting into this, i plan to reload but havent started yet. i'm wanting to get the maximum range i can out of my old deer hunting rifle before i buy a better long range rifle.

i'm new to long range shooting and i have a winchester model 70 in .270win. Is this a good starting point? any advice will help

if you change the stock of a rifle, will it free float the barrel?
