Also something to consider since you are considering the 338 LM is cost to shoot. If you are planning to hunt an animal at 1,000 yards you need to be proficient. The PRC/Win Mag/Rem mag will be clear winners in that as Lapua/WBY etc will be harder to find well priced components. Just my .02

Another vote for 300prc. Second in line would be 300Win followed by 7PRC or 300Rum. 300PRC if you are in desire for factory ammo in heavies. If you reload then the PRC vs win mag is one in the same.
