    WTB Nikon Coyote Special

Looking to buy a Nikon Coyote Special in 4-12x40. Has to be the mossy oak brush camo to match the gun it's going on. Would really like to buy one with the side focus too if anyone has one but that's not super important.

    New Savage 10 Desert Tactical

Nice looking gun, but why all the threaded barrels now? I was looking at their new lineup today and saw multiple with threads. I have no need for a suppressor and I hate how they look with the caps screwed on. Seems like it should be an additional option. That said, the 110 bear hunter has...

    243 vs 308

Thanks for the input guys! I'm leaning towards the 243 now. The 6.5 was a thought too because I've always wanted one but I think I should pass on that this time. Also this would be a target only gun, honestly I have plenty of guns to hunt with, I just want to make a really nice looking gun to...

    243 vs 308

I have a Boyd's stock that's made for a Savage short action. I've had it for a few years and it's time to put something in it. My brother recently bought a Savage 10 308 and is starting to build it. I was going to buy a 308 too but he suggested that some people like 243s better and I may want to...

Best off the shelf 6.5 Creedmoor?

Oh boy I might be in trouble haha that's a really good deal. The 6.5 and the 308 are very appealing at that price. Gonna have to think about this one, thanks for the heads up guys

Best off the shelf 6.5 Creedmoor?

I'll be honest, a tikka in 270 would probably be what I'd go with if I didn't get a 6.5. But nevertheless I have thought about the Savages. I have two Savage 10s that are wildly accurate so I wouldn't be opposed to another Savage.

Best off the shelf 6.5 Creedmoor?

Absolutely, I know for a fact I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Feel like they're really missing out but I guess they're doing just fine how they are.

Best off the shelf 6.5 Creedmoor?

I want to get into a 6.5 CM but I want to stick with an off the shelf gun. Except I'm completely willing to put it in a new stock if needed. I want a backpack gun that I can use factory loads on as I don't reload and don't currently want to. I'm a huge Leupold fan so it would be getting a VX-3...

    Leupold CDS riflescopes

That's what I was thinking, I don't reload so I'd be buying the best ammo I could and not playing around with different bullets and loads after I make my selection. And worse case just get new caps, they're not that expensive when compared to all you're putting into the gun.

    Leupold CDS riflescopes

Thanks for the clarification el matador, I did read and like your write up. I think I'd rather go with the duplex reticle the buy the TAC knobs. I like those knobs but I'm not a big fan of the TMOA reticle. That's a personal opinion though.

    Leupold CDS riflescopes

Thanks for all the info guys! From what I'm reading it sounds like the CDS scope is a good buy, but to use it smartly and switch to MOA. I'll get the taker turrets so I can have MOA and the yardage markings. Budget for the scope is under $1500, but I don't wanna spend it unless it's gonna be...

    Leupold CDS riflescopes

A little info first: I have a Winchester 70 in 300 WSM that I want to shoot 600-700 yards with. I'm putting it in a new stock, probably an HS Precision or Bell and Carlson but I haven't decided yet. It's stainless but I decided having a matching stainless scope isn't as important as my OCD tells...

Remington 778 in .243 Winchester for coyote hunting......

788's are fantastic. My Dad has one in 22-250 that he uses for groundhogs on the farm. It's a deadly gun with factory ammo. I've been considering buying one myself

    New Rifle decision

I would go with the Vanguard, I have one in 25-06 with a Leupold vx-3 on it and it's incredibly accurate. And that's in the factory wood stock and everything. I really like the trigger on it. My Brother and I just bought my Dad a Tikka t3 in 25-06 and so far it's been nice. I would shy away from...

    starter rig for wife

Leupold rings and bases are great, and well under your budget. I use them on all my hunting rifles
