    Savage ultralight 110

My personal experience with Savage rifles is that they respond better to floating the tang area of the receiver , the rear action screw is in front of that. I always float that area before I shoot them with good success. Do some searches. Good luck with the rifle. Hope to have one myself soon.

Experiences with high overbore cartridges and powder bridging

Not saying powder bridging isn't your issue but have you checked for a carbon ring yet ? Your description leads that way. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. Slightly confusing statement and question. Have you already done some load development to determine the barrel needs replaced ? Please explain your +P question a little more for us.

    28 nosler, vapor trailing?

Vapor trails in my experience are slightly easier to see with very slightly out of focus optics set on a lower power. Seeing them this way is not bullet specific for me. However I could believe these Hammer bullets and the oil may make it easier sometimes. As stated previously I can also see...

    Deforming Nozler Accubond bullet tips

See you are going to mandrel size. Did you measure how much neck tension you have ? I have ran those same bullets with .004 and didn't see what you have.

How many rounds do you have in your pack?

Guess it would depend on the situation. North East of the country deer hunting just what the rifle holds. Spot and stalk style. Bear hunting here we drive them so usually enough to fill the rifle twice. Areas outside mine where there are things that could bite back I would likely carry more...

    "Its Time"

Couple more details. This animal was the same color as an orangutan. Would describe it more towards lean than heavily muscled. Height had to be over 9 feet. I figure a average doe in Pa hanging from back legs is 6 feet high. This thing picked it up by the hind legs and looked it right in the eye...

    "Its Time"

Havent talked about this encounter in years. Grew up on the remote family farm in western pa. Will leave at that. Here we go. Was traveling home from work one Friday evening on my motorcycle. Not a well used road that is cut into the side of a mountain so steep you have to go from tree to tree...
