I ran the 225 grain eldm out of a ruger precision magnum chambered in 300 win at 2800 loaded with 7828ssc. They were probably a little on the hot side and that’s an 18 pound rifle built like a tank. My load data is on the other side of the country so I can’t give you the specs. Hope this helps...
If your planning on tinkering with it any way I would go tikka, rem 700 or xbolt. Then you can throw your money at it. I would hate to buy a $2000 rifle and still have to throw money at it. Just my 2 cents
I have been happy with my ridgeline. It did take about 80 rounds for it to come to life. After that is shot about everything well. On my second outing with the rifle when it was new I had the action screws come loose. This was probably the problem with the questionable accuracy out of the box
I would concentrate on what you are going to take moose hunting(once in a lifetime you said) Gunsmith can very easily thread the barrel on your 300bee and be good to go. I had it done on my 6 pound 325wsm(worth every penny). It is a rifle you are all ready familiar with and probably have ammo...
