I don't know if any one mentioned this yet, but there are clamp on breaks, if your not to fussy about the blocky military look of the thing. Much cheaper than the internal or screw on type. Just giving options, not recommendations.
WOW! I am impressed with how much a different primer can effect accuracy, of the same powder charge and bullet weight and OAL. Is that correct? I never used to pay much attention to my primers other than if it was a MAG or LR. I didn't think it much mattered, but I will pay more attention from...
I am amazed every time I go down to the states you guys are blessed with so many deer. I live bordered up to a national park that hasn't allowed hunting since the 80s.Yet I will be lucky to see one or two deer all season.
Thanks for the input, I certainly plan to work with the 168s that I have, I live low down at 733 ft. and my range of hunting is usually maxed out around 600yds or so. In actual fact 90% of my deer have been killed under 100yds (for many yrs I hunted exclusively with a bow.) but I want the...
I agree with the statement that people that reload don't regret it. I have learned so much from hand loading and watching your groups shrink is almost addictive.
I bought a used rcbs from a local gun shop then then … after I noticed a lee reloading kit with all the basics for about 1/2 what I paid. Just a thought if money is an issue.
Thanks again, so if I understand you correctly, I don't need a FL die to resize 308 to 7mm/08. I need to measure the case neck thickness and maybe anneal the brass beforehand if it has been shot more than 3 times.
Where I live in Canada I don't live near any gun ranges so I don't have access...
Thanks for all the good info, while we are still talking about reloading for the 7mm/08, does any one know if it is possible to resize 308 brass to 7mm/08 with a lee neck sizing die or would I need to use a full length sizing die? I am shooting them in a single shot T/C Encore.
