Also look up Accuracy One, run by John Hoover in PA. He sells a front rest with base plate for a great price. The pedestal is not cast, but made of machined parts. I have one and love it. I can post a pic later today if you want to see it.

Bausch & Lomb Elite 4200. Fine crosshair installed by Bill Ackerman. Was on a 12lb .22-250 with muzzle brake, and that only had 120 rounds through it. I traded the rifle for a Swarovski scope, so I don't need this one. $325 firm, plus shipping.

FWIW- Jerry Stiller of Viper Action fame made some rings with taper machined in. I don't know if he still does that but it can't hurt to ask.
