    26 Nosler load help please

I have a 28" mcgowen barrel on a savage action. I have had no luck with us869. I shot multiple 3 shot groups with both the 140 Bergers and 142 LRAB. Accuracy was 1.4-2.0 moa with both at multiple powder charges/ seating depths. I am having chronograph issues but velocities seem to be in the...

    100 grain amax in 260

I split the difference and went with the 123 amax. I could only get the 140 amax and 140 bergers to go 27xx fps in my 260. I am now working up a load for the 123 amax. I did a ladder test last week and it looks like these will shoot mid 3000 fps with accuracy out of my rifle. I did not...

Want to buy 300RUM or 7mmRUM brass!!!!

I went to a gunshow a few weeks ago and was told by one of the venders that remington is no longer producing the 300rum brass for reloaders. He said the only way to get it was in loaded ammo. I don't know if this is true, but its a crappy move by remington if it is.

    Deer kill with silencer

I have had my suppressor for a few years now and have found that the other animals almost always just stand there or run towards me. The only downfall I find with suppressors is the added length and weight. Im always wanting to preserve velocity so i end up with a 26" barrel with 9" of...

    Berger bullet performance

My brother in law shot his antelope a few weeks ago with my 260 remington using 140 berger vld hunting. 1st shot was just behind the shoulder mid chest at 325 yards. The antelope just soaked it up and stood there. I expected to see the wobblies but they never came so after 3-4 min I told him...

    Suppressors

I run a suppressor on my 243,260 and 308. The good: much more pleasent to shoot in general. once you shoot with one you feel stupid shooting without it. Its like running your car without a muffler. Animals cant tell where the shot came from. they often run towards you. The bad: The...

    Lets see your berger kills!

Muzzle velocity was in the high 3100's im not sure exactly. I don't know what the impact velocity was 1800-1900 I would guess. The thing still ran about 60-80 yards with no lungs but it was dead within 1 min of the shot. I got it all on video but with a crappy camera I need to do some editing...

    Lets see your berger kills!

My buddy's 2013 antelope. 1073 yards. 140 VLD hunting out of a 264 win mag. Its amazing what that bullet will do at 1000+. Huge exit.

    260 barrel life

Just read a thread over at snipers hide about this. The poster had over 4000 rounds down the tube and it was still shooting very well. I think the thread was called "shot out 260". Others were chiming in with their round counts.

    FMJ's on coyotes

In 223 its a definite no go for me. too many lost dogs and runners. 308 might be better but still not good. If you decide to hunt wolves then that's a whole different story :)

Wyoming passes the use of suppressors for hunting

Once you shoot with a can its hard to shoot without it. Less noise. Less recoil. I have the yhm phantom 7.62. It is one of the least expensive cans on the market. It sounds great to me. I have a repeatable point of impact shift with the can of about 1 moa low right. I just re zeroed and I...
