So finally got to go get my velocity for my 6.5PRC and got to shoot my 300 win mag for the first time and got it on paper my average velocity for the PRC was 3020 with 56 gr of RL26 and 140 accubonds I could probably get a little more speed but this gun seems to like it so I’ll leave it my 300...

So a little background 10 years ago I built a custom 7mm shooting the 154 Hornady Interbonds for elk hunting and have killed a truck loads of elk with that gun but it’s a heavy gun so I decided to build me a new lighter gun in 300 win mag I figured with the success I had with the 154 at 3200 fps...

So I have a question for all of the gun/ballistic gurus I'm currently shooting a Tikka 270wsm with 24"barrel and 140 accubonds my velocity is 3200 fps if I replace my barrel and go to a 26" and shoot a 150 accubonds will I loose velocity or will it stay the same the powder is RL-26….69 gr

So with rifle season quickly approaching its time to find a good hunting load for the 6.5 PRC starting with 55 grs of RL26 150 LRAB bullets federal 215 primers if any has used this combination please any helpful information you could throw my way would greatly appreciated

So finally got my gun back from the gun smith and I’m super happy with it it’s built on a Tikka lite action with a Lilja 26” barrel action has been trued I started doing some reloading for it and here I am so far shooting 140 accubonds with RL 26 powder

Just got a new member to my gun safe 6.5PRC built on a Tikka Lite action set in a Bell and Carlson stock 26” Lilja barrel with the action blue printed and all Cerakoted hopefully it likes the 140 Partitions should make a great all round deer rifle

So the middle of March my gun will be done so I'm looking at reloading for it so does anyone have any experience shooting the 150 LRAB out of there PRC I will be using RL26 for powder and my gun has a 26" Lilja barrel would love to know what you get for your velocity Thanks for the help
