I tried the 175gr .284 LRAB in my 7 RUM and couldn't do better than a 2" group at 100yds, doing about 3200 fps with a 26" 1 in 9" twist.
The 180gr Berger hybrid shot 0.5-0.7" with the same conditions.
I know of others with similar results, while others get them (LRAB) to shoot well.

What animals are you after? If after Chamois and Tahr then the West Coast is the best place to go. It is steep and rough but not impossible to get around. You can get helicopter access to a lot of areas, James Scott is the best pilot Alpine Adventures : F.A.Q : Mt Cook, Fox and Franz Josef...
Hi there. DIY hunting in NZ is pretty easy. You need to get a permit to bring your rifle in. Check out the NZ police website.
Once in NZ there is a lot of public land this is run by the Department of Conservation (DOC). You can get a permit online from them, it is free.
Then go crazy.

Here is my one. It is a Rem Model 7 7 SAUM.
I fluted the factory barrel, fluted the bolt and replaced the firing pin with a lightweight version. The biggest weight saving was making a carbon fibre stock. The stock weighs just over a pound.
The scope is a Bushnell 6500 2.5-16 x 42 in...
If you use the shooter app for your smartphone it allows you to record the conditions when you zeroed, so will make all the adjustments for you.
But like it has been posted earlier, out to 350 it won't make much difference.
The rear action ring on the Model 7 is shorter than the 700 SA so a SA stock probably won't work.
The stock with the varmint contour barrel will work, but you might/will have a big gap between the barrel and the stock.
I have the Bushnell Elite 2.5 - 16 x 42 on my 6lb 10oz (all up with scope) Rem model 7 7 SAUM
The magnification range is perfect for an all round rifle, but it is heavy at nearly 20oz.
I tried the 175 LRAB in my 7 RUM, at 3250 fps they wouldn't group better than 3-4" at 100 yds.
The 180gr Berger hybrid at 3250 fps grouped 0.5" at 100 yds.
