If I remember correctly, that is the video clip of the 'canned lion' hunt that was discussed on AccurateReloading a while back. People retarded enough to hunt lion in a corral probably lack the mental capacity, and shooting skills, to hunt at long range anyway.

Anyway: getting around that law is simple as long as you own the land. Don't bring people you can't trust to shoot straight and shut up. If you hunt public lands, you're done for.

The Norwegian Supreme Court just ruled that *any* shot that *may* cause unnecessary suffering for animal is punishable by, I believe, 2 years in prison. Isn't this just great? Has anyone ever fired a shot at an animal that didn't carry at least a 0.0000000001% chance of missing the vitals...

Paal, I suspect that's barbeque paint (for hagegrillen, vettu). Which I also suspect is quite non-existent in this little backwater of ours. Maybe spray paint for car exhaust systems can be used? They should be able to handle the heat. Only black though....

Guess that all makes sense, especially that not all cartridges will gain much from Improving. From just looking at the case shapes it looks as though both 300 WM and 308 NM have steeper shoulder angles than the 30-06, for example. Might be more hassle than its worth, in other words.... Thanks!

Seem to remember that someone here uses a .338/.416 Rigby Ackley Improved? This made me wonder if there are any limitations on which cartridges can be Improved upon? I guess shapes like those of the H&Hs arent really conducive, but how about, lets say, 7mm RemMag, 300 WinMag, or 308 Norma Mag...

Who makes Remington\'s stocks? I read somewhere that the stock on Remington's Sendero was made by HS Precision. (Is that so?) Does anyone know who makes the aramid-reinforced stocks that Remington uses on their Custom Shop AWR and Mountain Rifles? And if they are any good? This isn't really LR...

I am looking to buy a new riflescope and wonder what magnification you would recommend for work out to about 600 metres? I have always used 3-9s, but am currently looking at 3-12 or 4-16. Recommendations?

Not too impressive numbers-wise, but I have watched my father shoot reindeer at about 350 metres. That, however, was with a 30 year old, factory barreled .30-06 sighted at 100 metres, and without a range finder or exact knowledge of bullet drop. Simply experience I guess.
