cowboy - Thank you. I did not recover the bullet. It passed through. The exit hole was about 2 inches in diameter (the bullet hit a rib as it exited). I did not anneal the tips.

We hunt quite a ways north or Weiser. In the bottom of the panhandle.

My wife and I were out yesterday afternoon when we spotted a bedded whitetail. It took about 40 minutes of waiting before he got up and offered her a shot. 500 yards on the money. Double lung. Her longest shot yet. Video tells the story. She was shooting a 270 WSM. 130gr Barnes TSX bullets...

That looks like an incredible hunt, and the prices to hunt Africa are more reasonable than I imagined, having looked at guided moose hunts in Canada and AK.

Where in Africa do you go to hunt?
