Huh, that is surprising, I use CCI 200's. They seem to perform nice in my 308 remmy, but perhaps I will pick up some others to try. I have moved in and out of the lands, and right now I'm sitting at .020 off. Fits in the mag well.

I'd like to try nosler, but they are a little too rich for my blood. I do quite a bit of plinking so to say with this rifle to stay familiar with it, and would like to keep cost down some. I appreciate it though.

Prices on individuals? If so looking at 168 .308 and 140 .277.

Have you at least tried a different powder? I had a 270 that wouldn't shoot worth a dang with 4064. I could at best manage 4in groups at 100 yards. Switched to 4831, and am satisfied with the results. I can now under 1in at 100 yards.

I got a nice load using 168bthp hornady, but just like always, you gotta keep experimenting. gun)

I recently acquired 200 berger 230gr otm tactical bullets. I want to load them for my 308 mainly for target to 800 yards. I have seen some powders for it, but what do you guys/gals like?

I wouldn't mind a fixed power, but I find myslef shooting far and near. Variable power is my only option here. I found a vortex crossfire 2 for $159 with hash marked moa reticle. I think I might try it out. If I don't like it, I can simply return it.
