I am amazed at the size of some of these hogs posted here..... And I live in Louisiana! Unreal size, biggest I've ever seen couldn't have been larger than 200 lbs. To see one 1000 lbs in person..... Would be something to behold.
I've been using the Bog DeathGrip Carbon Fiber Tripod for all my hunting trips. Love it, it's been my favorite so far, but I haven't handled more than 6 or 7 tripods overall, so not a super diverse test group.
Couldn't agree with you more lol. I bought a crap ton of it back in the day, and use it for exactly what you just described. Why waste the good stuff for the remedial tasks. I have killed a deer with it though, and hit a plate at 1000 yards. So even the crappiest ammo still serves a purpose, and...
I will say that my first hit at 1000 yards with my competition creedmoor rifle was with my cheapest creedmoor ammo, hornady whitetail ammo. All I had on me at the time, hit within 5 shots. When I returned to the range with my Prime branded creedmoor ammo I did find it easier to stay on target...
