The problem with ammo and component supplies, some new facts

Shot gun shooters have been asking for years now, is lead shot ever going down? Once the manufacturers see the retail price is there to stay, I don think it will ever come down, and the same goes for reloading brass components, they will not come down to where they use to be.

    H1000 Alternative

Looking at the Relative Burn Rate Chart in the Lyman 50th edition: H1000 is 119th on the list. The powder at 118 is N170 VitaVuori, and the powder at 120 is Magnum, Ramshot. I think it is reasonable to say getting as close as possible should work well.

Primer pockets primers hard to get in.

I always clean out the primer pocket on all but brand new cases. I use a brush and also a Q tip to get all the carbon out of the pocket. Federal primers are larger as reported above. Try CCI 200 and make sure your brass is not small primer pocket!

I have one on my 338 Winchester. It works as indicated and adds weight to my rifle. I will say your measurements at the end of your barrel and three inches back must be exact in order for them to make it so it fits properly.
