    Barrel removal questions

    I do it this way. Made the barrel vise in 1972 when I did a lot of work with the 'ol ugly P14 and P17 Enfields. Never had one slip in the vise, always got the action off. The socket wrench is 3/4" drive with a 30 inch handle. Clamp bolts are 1" diameter aircraft engine mount bolts...

    I will take photos of the press and post. It was made by a Machinist, looks like a big RCBS Rock Chucker. Very large! And very heavy. The site will not let me use PM's, I guess I am to new with too few posts.

    Reason for the question is I have 2 buckets of brass, a monster press, set of match chamber reamers, headspace gauges, loading dies and case prep tools made with the match reamers, and more. Have not used the stuff in over 15 years, thinking about letting it go. The small cartridge is a 308
