I wish I had some br2 to try. I have a bunch of WLR so that's what I am using but they are working great. I used retumbo with my factory barrel and it did great. I would be using it with this new barrel but I had a pound of this new IMR powder and thought I would give it a try. It's doing...
I have been working with these ELDX bullets in a CBI barrel I just put on my savage 111. I am using IMR 7977 and they are shooting great! .35" @100yrds. It so far is holding about .5moa out to 1000 if I do my part. Got a milk jug @ 1000 on the 2nd shot after I got my wind correction right.
Litz has published verified BC for the nosler lrab's and they are not what nosler says they are. I cannot speak for the 168lrab for elk but I can say the Berger 168hvld's shoot out of my 7mm are elk killing machines!
Berger 168gr vld, wichester brass, cci250, 71gr retumbo, .0.005 off the lands, 3050fps. Shot 3, .5"groups last week. I have been on 2 elk hunts with this load. I have shot 2 bullets at bull elk. One@608yrds, one @550yrds. 2 successful hunts.

Brian's books will help inform you and give you the knowledge to increase the probability of hit, our decrees the probability the probability of a miss. Cab you do it with out reading them? Probably, if everything falls into place. Just like everything litz explains the g7 form factor will...
