I agree about the carbon ring. I had this problem and my initial indication was difficulty trying to determine CBTO for a new bullet. It took a lot of scrubbing by my gunsmith and then by me to correct the situation.

I just fired my first 124 Hammer bullets from my Christensen 6.5 CM and was very pleased with their performance. Using Varget, I'm getting 2,950 fps with 7 SD and 17 ES. My first three shots measured just under .25. Standard factory barrel 1:8 twist.
