I probably have a different approach so I will share. I have trained my 4 children as hunters, 2 girls and 2 boys. My oldest was a girl so I put her behind a 7mm-08 and told her she had to shoot a nice group under 4" or so to hunt. She had plenty of time behind a .22lr so no problem right...
