Don't know if this helps for indoor range but when I am going to sight mine in , I set up a steel gong at 100 yards and heat it up with a hand held mapp gas torch and even in the summer I am able to see the gong clearly and get sighted in .

Why would you not just take the can off and shoot it and see what the difference is for sure on your gun and load ?

When I am going to confirm my thermals I use a steel plate and heat it up with a hand held torch and that works great .
