I built a 25-7mm rem mag. It does everything a weatherby or wsm can do without the fussy feeding. Plus its not to hard to find primo 7 mag brass. Might take a look at her unless your hell bent to have a short action. Cheers!

I own one of each, with heavy bullets the 6-284 is awesome ! Go for it.

I am surprized there are not more wipeout fans. Makes cleaning rifles way to easy.

I guess i would have to disagree here. Having killed hundreds of dogs over the years i have learned alot about caliber selection and bullet construction. The v-max would be near the bottom of the list for me. Under 100 yards with large 6mm cases ie. 6mm-06 and the 6-284 and the plain ole 243...

This is just my opinion but the 260 is not a long range elk rifle. Mature bulls are just as tough as they are big. You put a 140 grain bullet in the wrong place at 400+ yards and he is going to run a LONG LONG way. Just not enough sectionial density or knock down power. One of finest elk...

52 grains of h414 . Good for 4100fps and then some. Awesome yote load.

My 204 will push a 40 grain pill about 3800 fps, my 243 will push a 55 nosler at 4100 fps with lapua brass. The bc of the 243 55 grain pill is .276. The bc of a 204 40 grains is .239. The 243 will knock the socks off of a 204 when it comes to energy delivered esp at ranges in excess of 300...
