Found out who makes Cabelas scopes

I'll give you my experience with vortex. My son bought a diamond back 3x9 for his older 308. Gun wouldn't hit the same place 2x. Checked all the mounts ect. , same out come. Put it on a 45 colt rifle , it patterned bullets over a 12" target at 25 yards, put the original scope back on " dead nutz...

    Never forget

The sad thing is folks will pay it. I found in the back of my bullet drawer, 162 hornady and Sierra 375 bullets, for when I had my 375 winchester. I threw them on gunbroker for $50. They shot up to over $200..I feel like a crook...

Adding diameter to 45-70 bullets (to .4595)?

Try " beartooth bullets ", order them .460 Dia. Remember your not going to get jacketed bullet velocity with cast bullets unless your using a very hard cast lead. I've always had good luck with both accuracy and no leading using the starting jacketed bullet load data. Anywhere from 1500-1900...

Adding diameter to 45-70 bullets (to .4595)?

If your casting these your self , you can " beagle " the mould. Basically you add some small strips of aluminum tape to one side of the mold block. Don't worry about them being out of round. I cast for a 35 marlin with the mico-groove barrel. I beagled a rcbs mold so I could size them to .360...

Whitetail POI...... What’s your intended Target?

I'm in ne,PA. In early October archery/ muzzleloader season, it often hits 50+ degrees. We skin/ quarter, wrap in plastic wrap so the meat doesn't dry out , then place in a old refrigerator in the shop. After 4-5 days your good to go. In the off season the fridge does double duty as a beer...

Whitetail POI...... What’s your intended Target?

When I was about 13, I begged my dad to let me go hunting with my friend and his dad. Our doe season was only 2 days back then, Monday/ Tuesday. My pop had to work, so after a long speech about, making sure their dead, touch the eye with the muzzle, be ready if it's not ect. I was able to go...

Whitetail POI...... What’s your intended Target?

I'm a behind the shoulder guy myself. 40+ years and well over a 100 deer never lost one that I've hit there. I stay away from the shoulder ( I'm a meat hunter..lol ) big margin for error with a 1/2 way up the body , behind that shoulder shot. If I have a quartering to or from , I aim to have...
