    berger 185 gr juggernaut

Hey srlamy, I shot at a match last weekend and the guy that won it was shooting the Berger 185 juggernaut's. The wind ate me alive while I was shooting the 175 SMK's. He shot 389 out of 425 with a total of 24 v-bulls; at the 900m he shot 1.73 moa. at the 800m the wind was much more calm and his...

No problem. I used the the sierra reloading manual and use 43.5 grains of varget with 168 grain sierra match kings. To check headspacing you can buy an rcbs precision mic, or what I did is just load three rounds at one c.o.a.l. measurement, then another three at a different coal, and so on. Then...

What system, MOA or Mil, do you use?

I use MOA. Have never used mil-dot. Both are good I am sure. MOA just because that's what I started shooting with and it makes sense to talk in terms of inches.

Good deal on a couple of hunting rifles, what one would you buy?

I picked the '06 simply because its not as hot a load and so the bbl may not be shot out. But if all bbl's were equal, I'd go with the 300. 338 is expensive to shoot. I believe in practice and practice takes $$.

I have this rifle. Great rifle. I handload for it and have had it glass-bedded. shot a .15 -3 shot group. At a glance it looks like the same hole! Only complaint I have is that the bolt feed from the mag is finicky; that and there is little for aftermarket support in terms of magazines...
