Look at the Buck 113 Ranger Skinner. Got one from my son for my birthday. It’s a beautiful knife and comes with a very nice leather sheath, very elegant compact and practical. Great edge and easy to sharpen also.

This has probably been discussed, sorry if so. But are you generally trying to shoot through the shoulder or heart/lungs? And does distance affect your choice?

Yeah, I found some LVR and will probably end up buying some but I’d like to use what I already have, and ideally find a temp stable powder.

I’m interested now in trying the 150 gr. BD2 (my .308s are 11 twist 18” and 20” barrels so the 175 won’t work). Don’t have any LVR and I’d like to use a powder I already have namely Varget or CFE223 or H4350 or TAC or N150/555. Any recommendation for ranking those, or do you think LVR is going...

What bullet With 49 gr H1000 I get 2829 with a 22" Tikka shooting a 127 gr LRX. 46 gr of N555 is a little faster. 2820 fps with a Berger 156 gr using 51 gr RL26. I think either N555 or RL26 will be faster than H1000.
