I built a couple 7xc from some of my 7-338 lapua improved worn out barrels. I was getting around 3,460 to 3,500 fps with 20n29 with a 195 grain berger 30" barrel. I have a 33" bartlein that will be here in a couple days that I will start from scratch to see what this will do. Just something else...

My daughter shot this buck on a general season hunt opening morning right at daylight with my 7GLR Magnum. Perfect shot right behind the front shoulder. 350 yards away. 195 berger going 3280 fps!

I have worked with this 7-338 improved case quite a bit in the last couple of years. The first reamer I purchased I sent the reamer prints in to get sizing dies made. They did not work so well. They were not sizing the case down in the web area enough so no matter what load I used I had clickers...

Just finished this 45 caliber muzzleloader up for a buddy. This is a group at 100 yards. I used hanks ignition system and a 28" brux barrel and 300 grain pittman Aeromax bullets. These rifles just shoot!!

Yes. I still have the barrel. I also have a 7x338 improved bartlein 5r barrel that has been shooting really good. I might run the reamer in that one of these days when I find the time.

I didn't get it shooting very well the first few times out. I switched to the 30xc. I have been thinking of putting that barrel back on and giving it another try? If I do I will definitely try the 869. Thanks

They are Brux 1-20 twist 28" modified sendero with a 5" shank. I like this contour for a hunting rifle. They finish around 12.5-13.5 pounds with scope, bipod and sling. You can definitely build them lighter but recoil gets pretty severe. I would stay with the 28" modified sendero its right in...

I agree. Whats not to like about a 245 grain Berger going 3,300+ fps! accurately.

Boretech carbon remover followed by bore tech copper remover. Works well and no strong smell.

Here are a few 45 cal muzzleloaders I have built using hankins ignition system. I have messed with smokeless using 325 grain pittman Areomax bullets pushing them 3,100 fps. The 300 grain Areomax going 3,200 fps. Where I live it is not legal to use smokeless for hunting so I use blackthorn 209...

It will only be a matter of time before it starts affecting our herds and ranchers here.
