When your young and in great shape to go on a hunt of a lifetime you can't afford it, when you get to the point in your life where you might have the extra money to go on a Hunt, your body says Hell No.. what were you thinking.. lol

Between the panic buyer and the slob that buys up as much ammo as they can then tries selling it at two to three times the price on-line for profit it's gonna be tough to find right now.

Good post, I should have read your entire post before I replied,, I have noticed less movement in the Deer I shoot now that I use Rage two blade, I was using Rocky MT fixed blades and had more of a noise problem..

Could be they see movement, or more on guard than years before. Hunting over bait vs no bait will change Deers alertness. Distance of the shot, 15 yds or 30 yds. I'm sure you have thought of all reasons why they duck after the shot. I aim low on all my shots out of a tree, if I miss I miss...

I don't shoot too much out past 300 yds. but I do use this level to mount all my scopes.. It is made to leave on your Rifle if you want to keep it level, mounts to the base, It is hard to hold a Rifle perfectly level while shooting, I can see how this would be a big plus in long range shooting..

No, I think 130 gr is made for the .270...and thats where it will stay, But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing..I use mine for Deer hunting most of the time, I don't shoot out over 500 yds. anyway.. 300 or less would be my longest shot..gun)

If your serious about 500 yd. then the smaller lighter wt. calibers are out. 7mag or most any magnum cal. You have to do your part as well, The 300 mag or bigger isn't that easy to shoot long range without a lot of practice as with any Rifle. Good luck I might add that the .270 is my favorite...

300 yards is pushing it a bit..I think twice about shooting 300 yds with my modern rifles at game..LOL Not saying it can't be done, Hell people shoot their Bows out to 100 yds at game. To each their own.
