You guys got me thinking. Inwas planning a 7PRC build in the future but seeing the posts here and the info, I'm definately considering a saum instead. Is there any inparticular i need to know for best performance and accuracy? Stay around a certain barrel length, what size action is best...
This is a very intresting thread with alot of good information. Cant wait to find some lvr and try it in my bolt gun and see what results I can get. With that has anyone tried using lvr in a ar10 platform? I am finishing my 20" 1:10 twist build and am wondering if its worth trying in the gas...
Thats what im trying to figure out for my 308 rebarrel. I use aics mags so it sounds like i could do 260 or 260ai but im not certain. Might have to go 65cm instead
Im trying to decide now what to rebarrel my 308s in. Was thinkin 260 or 260 AI but im not sure. 6.5x47 could be interesting have to research it a bit more. I do like the idea of taking all my 308 brass and being able to resize for the new caliber though.
I keep a fire kit with a lighter, ferro rod, flint and steel, cotton balls and Vaseline, dryer lint, wet tinder, fatwood, 0000 steel wool, char cloth and a char tin.
I have a jp gas block on my current ar and plan on getting a captured buffer for it too. I also plan on buying the aero m5 builders set, ill have to check out the jp barrels as well. May have to go 6.5. Might get my daughter a 6.5 bolt gun as well
Thinking 308 or 6.5 creed. Although have heard alot about the 6mm creed as well. Admittedly I dont know alot about either of the creed rounds. Only reason im thinking 308 is because i already load for my bolt guns and ammo availability.
Im planning on building an AR10 this winter. Looking for some suggestions on caliber and barrel lengths. Was thinking about maybe a 308, 7mm-08, 243 something i can find ammo locally for then reload for later. Also any tips on barrel brands would be great.
