Je custom , l have a parallax question, when long range target shooting after settling on the target, I Back away from scope. Reducing view to a small hole. This centers my eye. eliminating the parallax problem. Your thoughts?
Spacing your shots one minute apart will not solve your problem, elk don’t hang around while your rifle cools lol. Good news is if you practice enough you will not need a third shot
If the fortunes made in high income states could only be spent in those states, our problem would be solved, it’s too many”out of staters”with to much money causing us problems.mt. Wyo,and Id.
Well said jd custom. At the range one day,the guy next to me was getting 3 moa groups with his brand new rifle. He asked if I would shoot it, same results. I told him there can be worse problems. “ if a new rifle shoots bugholes , what do you do with the rest of your life?”
I zero at 300. The last four years the shortest shot has been 420 yards longest 620.these were antelope and deer a and b tags. Not exceeding one revolution gets me to 740 yards
Lots of sage brush and a stiff neck make prone shots a problem. And 500 700 yard shots common.
I use a short tripod front and trigger stick rear to shot kneeling. Rock solid as a bench
I’m considering a 280 ai barrel for my savage 7mm. I’m using 168 vld. At 2950 mv
Most posters say less recoil vs the 7mm. Dosnt seem right to me ( every action equal but opposite)
If lm missing something someone please explain
Two Savage barrels on along range hunter sub 1moa to 700, third barrel is a shelin select.
Have tried hornady, berger, Sierra, h1000 h4831, bedding restock to McMillan.
Flyers in all groups. Guess lm a slow learner
