    Polar bear defensive handgun

I might be placing this in the wrong forum, but here we go. I am going to Svalbard as a helicopter pilot for 5 months. I am going to have a short shotgun with slugs in the cabin. I am bringing a signal pistol. I am looking for a handgun for backup. I have a wide variety of glocks in 9mm. I...

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

    Which stock?

I have a 700 in .338lm that has a XCR long range stock on it. The rifle has never been fired and I was planning on putting it in a AICS chassis, but now i keep thinking of building it into a ''lightweight'' .338lm hunting rifle. The original stock was put on other guys rifle i .300wm. The...

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

and yes, I have read 100s of reviews on both sides on the VLD, but I would like to use the same bullet for everything, and high BC is one of my most important aspects when looking for a long range rifle.

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

Can you use the VLD for moose and big bears? Or is it to unpredictable? Would you get any questions from the guides if they find out that you are using VLD? Thinking that they never actually check your rifle ammo in Norway, but they might in other countrys. I am thinking that the 300wm would...

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

Sorry about that:-( In norway, we have to use a controlled expansion bullet. Is there any other good alternatives for long range in a 300wm or rum?

    .300wm bullet .730 bc

I have been looking at the 210gr spitzer nosler accubond long range. They claim a bc of .730. Has anyone tried this bullet? How is it for long range bear, elk, moose? The Bc seems amaingly high compared to all other manufacturers.....
