As far as I can tell it was made in 1980. It is the first ADL that i've seen in 6mm. I see a lot of BDL's, 788's and Ruger 77's in 6mm, but this it the first ADL.

OK....I put a Vortex Viper on the Vanguard last night. Mounted it into Burris Tactical rings. I will be shooting some factory 100 grain sp ammo out of it. Weatherby lists it at 3400 fps, soo it should be interesting. When I had the Pentax on it, it shot the ammo into .52-.97 3 shot groups...

Yes it will do it...But the 300 wsm will do it better. I don't know what rifle your 25-06 is, but the heavier bullets that you can use with the 300 will hold better downrange. Now I am not as experience at shooting those kinds of ranges as some of these people on this forum are, but a good...
