After a few years off, I'm getting ready to jump back in to long range shooting. I know comparing 338LM to 300WM is somewhat of apples and oranges, but I'm reading so much about the consistent accuracy of the these 5R's and I'm almost thinking that the shortcomings of the the 300, may be made up...

Ok, so there are several threads here, and on a few other sites, about this rifle, but, nobody has really posted up some results. Does anyone have some range time and results they can share? Target pics even better! I've been on the fence about building a savage/custom set up, or just...

I'd like to kinda revive this thread. Since this thread, Savage has released several rifles chambered in 338 Lapua. So, now, since things have changed a little since the original OP, the question is... Will a Stevens long action work for a 338lm rifle build?
