Like hunting subsonic suppressed? Here’s what is sounds like down range.

One thing many people don't realize about subsonic ammo is that the bullet does not lose velocity nearly as rapidly as a supersonic bullet because of the mechanics of drag above the speed of sound. The subsonic bullet retains more velocity than one might think.

What extinct or endangered animal would you like to hunt and what rifke wouod you use ?

A worthy endeavor, but the 6.5 Creedmoor was DESIGNED for this.

One thing the LabRadar does that Garmin doesn't...

"unfounded"? LOL, respectfully, to use unfounded in this context is a pretty big stretch. Caldwell is an imported Chinese line of inexpensive products introduced and promoted by MidwayUSA and have always been cheaply made and lower quality, usually direct copies of American designed and made...

This Morning on The Babylon Bee

Babylon Bee is a conservative satire site that is well worth the visit. Its satire is usually hilarious and spot-on. https://babylonbee.com/

    Scope Brush?

The first thing I do when buying a scope is to buy a set of Butler Creek flip-ups. I've had some scopes for 20 years and never had to clean the lenses. You may have to measure your scope to match up the correct fit, but I had that same scope with Butler Creek caps. Unless they've been...

    Need Some Help

The trigger would have to be designed for a Remington 700, and would work with both a short action and a long action - no difference in triggers.

What is the most overbore cartridge YOU HAVE USED?

The muzzle erodes as well, although I cannot explain why. You will often find the muzzle end will copper foul for the last couple inches while the middle area of the bore remains clean. Before you blame cleaning, please know that I always cleaned from the chamber end and used a bore guide with...

    Cold Bore fliers

Provided the rifle, scope & mounts are sound, I have found that the "cold bore shot" is really a "cold shooter shot". I have proved this with/to dozens of long range precision students when I was teaching. The "clean bore shot" really IS a thing and can usually be brought into the main group by...

What is the most overbore cartridge YOU HAVE USED?

Mine was a 6.5-300 Weatherby (WWH) I had built in the early '90s. Ballistics were amazing, throat erosion even more so. Had it set back after 750 rounds - had to take 2" from the chamber-end, another 1" from the muzzle.

How do you know SWFA mil or moa

I don't recall SWFA making a MOA reticle for this scope, all I've seen are mildots. They DO make an MOA reticle - see below.

    Groundhog "season"

I have hunted groundhogs since 1970...the start of my long range passion. Like others here, I always forced myself to wait until June to shoot any so that I would not leave starving babies in the hole. I went to Ohio to shoot groundhogs with a commercial guide service (Mike at North Central...

    Maryland Ranges

North Beach should put you within membership range of Quantico MCB Shooting Club. They have a maximum distance for members. They regularly use the 1,000 yard range there for rec fire and also host F-class, three-gun and other matches. I was a member there for several years before leasing...

    Which crossbow to buy?

I bought one of these this past fall and have been very happy with it. Very accurate and well balanced.
