    Using a 20MOA rail

That's pretty much what I thought. But, couldn't find anything to confirm. You put my mind at ease. Thanks.

    Using a 20MOA rail

Thanks for the support and excellent references. I was maybe too brief in my original post--I had reviewed the bedding video and am ready to follow the example before fine tuning everything. I also have some recommended loads w/ 142g HPBT SMK bullets on top of new Lapua brass and 47.2g IMR...

    Using a 20MOA rail

Sorry if this is too basic; but, I just can't find a good info source. So... I'm put together my first LR rifle--Savage 6.5x284 w/ Nightforce ATACR F1 scope on top Nightforce rings and a 20MOA picatinny rail. Now, what do I do? I'm assuming that I zero the scope at 100, or 200 yards and...

    ATACR FFP availability

Thanks for the info...not what I wanted to hear though. Got a Prairie Dog shoot scheduled for Memorial Day and wanted to inaugurate my new 6.5x284 across some Kansas prairies. But, I'd rather they do it right than fast. :)

    Scope mounting question--basic

The screw holes in the rail are all the same depth. I did put the screws through and the short ones extended less than the long ones. Thanks.

    Scope mounting question--basic

Great guidance all around. Thank you. This is why I love reading these boards--it's the simply fixes that are often the best.

    Scope mounting question--basic

Ok, I finally bit the bullet and am setting up a long range platform--Savage Model 12 F in 6.5x284, Nightforce rail, rings, ATACR scope. Problem is that the Rail, NF part A168, comes w/ five screws, two short, three long, and the rifle & rail have four holes. I can't find anywhere to tell me...
