Trading my super duty 8’ for a 6’ before the season starts hopefully. That long bed is a royal pain in the *** out in the hills. My buddy has the 6’ and the difference is night and day.

Hate to disagree but I think the Allen mag still holds that title.

Let’s talk then…how long are your seasons? Ours are way too long, can literally hunt elk from august to February. They let us hunt the rut so everything with a horn on its head gets killed. We give out thousands of none resident B tags for both deer and elk. Every swinging dick with deep pockets...

If Montana fwp thinks they can make a couple extra bucks of course they’ll extend it. I mean they screwed up the hunting up in our state bad enough with just the regular season why wouldn’t they continue to make it worse?

I actually agree with that quote! Beaty gulch, Tom Miner basin up paradise valley in Montana use to be my stomping grounds for elk hunting, but the griz got way too thick and show little fear of humans.

Was in the local gun store not too long ago just before the season started and some transplant came in with a rifle he bought the year before and asked if they could rebore sight it for him. The guy at the counter obliged him and told him that he didn’t really have to make but a couple clicks...
