Recommendations for Long Distance Shooting sitting?

I built my own quad sticks for under $30 and they work from seated to kneeling to even standing. I can shoot off of them nearly as well as a bench out to 500 yards so far.

    Spreadsheet for reloading

I've never posted an excel spreadsheet, so I'm not certain how to do it. However, anyone knows how to do that, just email me at [email protected] and I will send you the excel file and you can then post it here. Or if nobody knows how to make that happen, just email me and I'll send you...

    280 AI Load Data

I'm getting ready to start working on a project for a friend. Have H1000 and IMR 7828 ssc available. Would like to use the 180 grain Berger VLD's if the rifle will like them. Anyone have any words of wisdom from actual experience with these bullets and either powder? Thanks in advance for...

    3,300 fps 7mm

Yep,I know I have a very unusual list of requirements. Now I'll tell you that I have a friend that is hell bent on a 7mm Dakota as a repeater. And I was just curious if anyone might come up with a round that would be able to best it. I couldn't think of any, but I knew that you guys would...

    3,300 fps 7mm

I had not thought of the 300 Norma necked down to 7mm. I used 3.30" to be well below the Savage 110 staggered feed magazine length max which is just over 3.40". I'll do some research on the Norma. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas again. John

    3,300 fps 7mm

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all. As I sit here waiting for the kids and grand kids to arrive I was just wondering if anyone knows of a 7 mm round that will #1 feed as a repeater through with a maximum COAL of 3.3" or less. #2 achieve a muzzle velocity of 3,300 fps from a 26" or 27"...

    First camping trip this fall

This is on Current River North of Doniphan, Missouri and South of Van Buren, Missouri. Just West of the Missouri Bootheel in the foothills of the Ozarks. Beautiful area and miles and miles of float streams. There are several options for canoe rental on the river for day trips or even multi...

    Building gun from parts?

    Building gun from parts?

I don't know if this will help you or not. This is my latest project. I have put together a few of these semi-custom Savage/Stevens projects and they have all been excellent shooters thus far. I think this is a good example of the upper end of a Savage/Stevens build. Long action, small...

Anyone elk hunting with a 6.5 creedmoor??

Having read all of the opinions above, I agree with most that the 6.5's are a great round and very capable of putting animals on the ground at some pretty amazing ranges. I have shot a 6.5 Creedmoor but have never hunted with one. I have hunted with a 6.5x284 and successfully taken large...
