    Fierce rifles muzzle threads?

Thread pitch gauges are cheap and leave no doubt what the thread is. Any gunsmith worth a crap will measure for free.

300 RUM reamer, go gauge and dies

Reamer is listed as 300 RUM Match. .335" neck and .114" freebore. Go gauge. Hornady dies. I have not used the reamer. I bought from a shop that said a customer bought it for a project that never happened. Reamer looks good with no chips or cracks. I will gladly provide better pictures. Contact...

    Who is annealing in sand?

The copper is pure and was for a bullet powder coating project a few years ago. Initially we were concerned with the durability of the powder coat so we mixed copper powder in for testing. It is very fine and hangs in the air like smoke. The aluminum was for DIY a tannerite.

    Who is annealing in sand?

I think finding the right media size is going to be the key to success. It needs to be bigger than what I used but still small enough to get good contact and fast heat transfer. When I used to do a lot of casting I tried to use the molten lead to anneal cases. The problem was that it would...

    Who is annealing in sand?

The aluminum started clumping at 700 degrees. I think it is because of the size of the granules. This stuff is very fine. I believe bigger mesh might work better.

The copper is like ash or graphite now. Very hard and solid.

    Who is annealing in sand?

I tried copper but did not pay attention to the temp. As it got to about 700 degrees it turned black and clumped together. I have done aluminum powder I might try next.

    Who is annealing in sand?

I wonder if powdered metal would work better. I have a half pound of powdered copper, I might give it a try.

What Got Everbody Started Reloading ?

I got into it thinking it would save me money. I haven’t saved a penny because I still spend as much but now I get to shoot a lot more. It allowed me to shoot regularly during the Obama years when my friends couldn’t find ammunition. And most of my ammunition performs better than most...

First focal plain vs second focal plain

It depends on what I am doing. My 1-6 is a SFP scope. It has a BDC reticle that is only correct at 6x. But at 1x the BDC, because it doesn’t shrink, works like a red dot. I use the lower powers of my FFP scopes for scanning/observing. When I get ready to shoot I crank it up until the reticle...
