i shot one with a 223 just to prove my point. blew his head clean off and he STILL ran away.

that's not me and those aren't my kills. that's bill wilson with some trophies taken on his recent south african safari. a few posts ago, someone asked what i was shooting. i said i was shooting a 300 ham'r which is a wilson combat exclusive. the pics were just to show how effective an ar15 can...

i was shooting 125gr tnt at over 2500 fps but recently switched to 110gr sp for more speed. not sure how fast the new ammo is, but handloads are 2700+

wilson has been in africa for a week or hunting with the hamr. it'll shoot up to 150gr bullets. "Shot this old boar 10min after checking zero on my rifles! 140yd shot, 150gr Bonded, full penetraion with a quartering shot, DRT"

i got confused where i left off on videos so there is some overlap on this one... but a few new shots as well...

uses ar15 lower/upper, bolt, carrier... everything. you can literally screw on a 300 hamr barrel to a 223/556 and hit the ground hunting. i use 300 blackout mags from pmag and lancer because i think they work better for 30 cal, but that's just me.

funny you should ask. i was using a 6.8 for a while but switched to a wilson combat 300 ham'r a year or two ago.
