    A loooong shot !

Not that impressed, on the 69th shot, if you throw enough darts, sooner or later one will end up in the middle of the board, even if you are blindfolded!

    Reloading first time

RULES: While reloading. 1) NO tv, NO radio, NO distractions (could save your life) 2) ONLY ONE can of powder on the bench at a time. (Make sure it is the one for the load you are using) 3) Get a routine for loading and always follow it. These may sound obvious and routine, but the internet is...

    Reasonable bipod

Harris for sure, BUT shooting any rigid bipod off of a hard surface, (Rock, or solid bench) WILL change the point of impact and enlarge groups. I always use a piece of carpet or a few layers of cloth. Dave

What is your preference for trigger type and pull weight for long range hunting?

I currently have 13 Jewel triggers on guns I own, all set at 10 oz. I know when I pull one out what the trigger pull will be EVERY TIME. Dave

    Shooting Steel

Hang the steel from chains with 4" to 6" long grade 8 bolts. This allows the plate to be at about a 20 degree angle. Will last a VERY long time and will save the frame and deflect most of the shrapnel down. This is a required method at some ranges, especially on the East Coast. Dave

    338 LMAI Dies

Whidden can make the dies from the reamer print. They did it for me when I built a 338 LM Imp with a chamber of my own design. I had them make me a full length bushing sizer die, and the I used my chamber reamer to enlarge the bushing in a Forster Micrometer seating die. Dave
