    I shoot a Thompson Center Encore, in a 300 win mag, 26" barrel. I reload my ammo to the Berger Bullets manual specifications, never hot loads. Can anyone tell me why after about 4 to 6 reloads the cases brakes off about a 1/4" above the belt. But in a Savage, in the same caliber after 5 to 7...

    I want thank all the response. Like I said, I live in Oregon and we can't use power belt bullets. We can only use conical bullets. I would like to use power belt bullets. From what I have read I am going to use triple 7 powder. Again thanks Deltaco

    Thanks Johnny Walker. But Oregon will only let you use lead conical muzzleloading bullets. I shoot a .50 caliber CVA Elkhorn.
