    7PCR vs 284shehane or other 7mm

I have quite a few 7mms. All of these are good options, 7saum and straight 284 win are among my favorite. 284 is much better out of a medium or long action and if target shooting to 800-1000 is more than enough. If you want easiest build and components the 7prc or smaller 7-6.5 prc (about the...

    Custom CRF action

I have had the bighorn and mausingfield, nucleus and archimedes (American rifle company). Of this my favorites are the mausingfield and archimedes (the cdg action I would think would similar but unknown). The mausingfield was better at feeding rebated or very short for action length rounds (284...

    Need some advice....

I generally never see much change (within shooters skill) assuming everything is set up well. The alignment can be an issue as many people will have an almost 2” lop difference prone to seated/standing. Other than that is is possible that forend could flex if stock/chassis is not stiff enough or...

    Frame and remage barrel

I have never had a problem with barrel but style attachments clearing forend tubes. I have had minor issue with devices such as the bar loc or wto switch lug if the forend comes very close to the receiver. MDT acc, krg w3 not really an issue but possibly cadex.

    KRG Whiskey 3 700 SA

I have a krg w3 for Remington 700 pattern short actions, gen 6. It has the optional overmolded cheek riser. Overall in good condition but used. There was a minor amount of plastic that has to be relieved to be able to use the t-slot mount on the forend. I am looking for $825 shipped within the...

    Carry guns

I am tending to move away from strikers but the Walther pps is good for the small carry guns (can change grip length by mag choice). The p365 seems to have some teething issues but haven’t kept up lately. Obviously glocks if you like them are good in the g19 or smaller size. CZ p10 or P07/p-01...

Billings, MT or Rapid City, SD

Used to live in Montana, had family near the black hills. For all around life I would recommend Rapid city. If you could choose elsewhere in Montana that would be more desirable (Bozeman, Helena, Missoula, flat head area).

30mm Rings for a Picatinny Rail

To be clear seekins etc are very good, but in my opinion I prefer the arc m10 ones. You can generally find some used if you want to try them on various long range forums. They tend to run a bit more than seekins though.

30mm Rings for a Picatinny Rail

Like most mentioned above as well but one of my favorite rings are the American Rifle Company m10 ones. Have never had scope slip, no marks from mounting and easy to level reticle as it doesn’t require the cross pattern torque.

    Need some advice

Another good option if you can find is the bushnell lrhs maybe lrts if you can’t find the hs but probably a little less useful reticle and a tad heavier.

    Advice on small snake gun

To clarify again, I am really just looking for a small or pocketable snake gun. I regularly carry a pocket 380 as a backup so I would just swap that. The other gun would stay it depends on need but normally a 239 or if concealment not an issue a 229. This is why I was asking about small snake...

    Advice on small snake gun

Out of curiosity was it the shorter barrel or the 3”, tried pattern out of 4” 627 and it was rapidly spreading beyond say 5ft

    Advice on small snake gun

I guess I should clarify, something small enough to carry daily. That’s why I was considering the 410 derringer but most info I see is buck shot not #6-9. The 45 snake shot is ok to 6ft but not ideal otherwise but I could do that if the derringers are not worthwhile.
