As the title asks, what's the thoughts on a Weaver 6x20x40 Grand Slam. I'm thinking no more than 600m. I have a 7mm Rem Magnum in a Rem SPS (26"), B&C Medalist stock and the scopes in the safe include a Ziess 3x9x40 Conquest and a Weaver GS in 6x20x40 with the really small dot. I'm not going...
There are too many variables to make a call between FL and NS. What I do know is that I get just the same accuracy with a FL round and I do with a NS round. Though I do use a K&M neck expander once I have FL sized. Interestingly, I can get more FPS out of a FL round, but that's another story.
Boomtube,
Sounds good to me. I just had some say that they had problems with swelled cases and something about difficulty headspacing from the rim rather than the shoulder. Thanks for your advice.
Hi,
New here.
I'm getting ready to buy a 270 Weatherby Magnum. I intend using Norma brass & Barnes pills. Not sure about powder and primer.

Thanks in advance.
There'll be guys who argue for and against any round you can think of. In my case I decided on a 270WBY over some other choices. For what I wanted I don't think I'll look back.
What I'm after now is experienced advice on reloading for Red Deer and pigs for that round in an Accumark. Pigs...
Well, too late now. I've ordered the die set for the 270 WBY. I'd also say that I'm not a WSM/WSSM fan either.
So, what about reloading rimmed cases. Any thing I should do extra or such.
Thanks
Hi,
As said, its only really worth while getting a larger 270 if I go to the 270 WBY with the 26" barrel.
The two powders that show up as performing really well with a 150 grain pill are Norma MRP and Hodgdon H870. Neither are available in Australia.
How is reloading the rimmed case...
Hi All,
New here. Working on getting a 270 Weatherby Magnum in an Accumark. Was going for an UltraLight but not pleased with what I have read about lack of accuracy. No use having a long range round that shoots no better than over 5" at 400 yards.
Why 270 WBY Mg - 'cause I shoot a 270-308...
